Edit a Post’s Layout
Editing a posts layout is different from editing a post’s content. The content is specific to each post. The layout remains the same across all posts. Making a change to how something is laid out on a post will change the position of the item across all posts.
- Editing the post’s “singular” themer layout [0:32]
- Using the post content field connection [1:27]
- Using the “preview as” dropdown to see the layout on different posts [2:48]
- Publish – notice how the layout changes take effect across all posts [3:10]
When you want to edit a post you’ll notice two items in the black admin bar – “edit post” and “beaver builder.” If you wanted to edit the content, which is specific to the post, you’d click “edit post.” However, since you want to edit the layout of the post, that will take effect across all posts, you will hover over the beaver builder link and click to open the “singular” themer layout.
